Arrival on Campus
Upon arrival on campus, please go the Residential College – South. All CLEO attendees and teaching assistants will be housed in the Residential College-South. Check-in for all CLEO attendees will begin at 1:00 p.m. on June 2nd. All teaching assistants are expected to check- in at 10:00 A.M. on June 1. The physical address of the Residential College-South is 100 Faculty Row, University, MS 38677. If you have trouble finding this location, please call 662.915.1792.
Attire
Attire for class will be casual. However, students will need to bring business clothes for visiting the state and federal courthouses, graduation ceremony, and on-campus graduate fair (if you have not already chosen a law school to attend).
Please keep in mind that summers in Mississippi are very hot and humid. Please bring appropriate clothing. Also, the law school may get chilly during the day, so a cardigan, sweatshirt, or light jacket is suggested. You may use one of the law school lockers to store your belongings (just remember to bring your own lock and make sure you’ve requested the locker).
Before Arrival
CLEO students are required to have a GMail account for use during the Institute. Please sign up for a GMail account at www.google.com by clicking “gmail” and following the instructions for creating an account. Your GMail must be created by May 13.
Students are required to complete an Institute survey by May 13. The survey is located at https: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/UMCLEO2013. You must use your GMail address on this survey. Please contact Macey Edmondson if you have any issues completing the survey.

Extracurricular Activities
Although the CLEO Program is an intensive program, you are welcome to take advantage of the extra-curricular activities that the University of Mississippi provides during your program. Your student ID will provide you access to: most on-campus athletic events and the Turner Recreation Center. Other programs will be planned for CLEO participants

Housing
- CLEO attendees and teaching assistants will be housed in the Residential College-South complex for the duration of the Institute. Travel to Oxford (Airport and other Transportation)
Students traveling by air may use the following airports:

Transportation from the Memphis Airport to Oxford, Mississippi
The University of Mississippi School of Law will provide transportation from the Memphis International Airport to Oxford only on Sunday, June 2rd. Please make sure that your flight arrives in Memphis by 2:00 P.M. You should also have claimed your baggage by this time. Please meet in the Delta Airlines baggage claim area and a teaching assistant will be there to greet you. At the conclusion of the Institute, a bus will depart from Oxford to the Memphis International Airport on Saturday, July 14th. Departure time from Oxford will be contingent on the earliest flight schedule of the attendees needing transportation to the airport.
University of Mississippi IDs
Students will receive their UM ID on the first day of the Institute. UM IDs allow students access to:
- Paul B. Johnson Commons Dining Hall, Law School Café, and the UM Student Union food vendors
- Residential College – South
- Law School (you must swipe in after hours)
- Turner Center, the University’s exercise facility (it has an indoor pool for those interested in swimming)
- J.D. Williams Library, the main campus library, and the Grisham Law Library (including checking out books at the law library)
- Free access to OUT, the city’s transportation system with routes that pick up and drop off on campus

Weather In Oxford
The average high for June and July is 88-91° F and the low is 70°F. Record highs fall between 104° and 108°. Buildings are air-conditioned, so you will need to prepare for both warm and cool conditions. We receive approximately 4.82 inches of rain in June and 4.10 in July.
