Description:
Drew Lewis, eDiscovery Counsel for a nationally-known legal consulting firm, will present on a cutting-edge topic, “Discovery in the 21st Century: Changing Perspectives on the Law and Technology,” an overview of the challenges electronic information will present in the practice of law in the coming decades.  Link to a brief look at Mr. Lewis’ area of expertise: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pi9VcaLj6nY

Mr. Lewis consults with outside counsel and in-house legal departments about effective discovery strategies and the benefits of implementing advanced technology solutions to streamline the discovery process. Prior to joining Recommind, he worked as a commercial litigator with Baker Donelson out of the firm’s Nashville office and is a 2008 UM School of Law alumni. In private practice and through his work now, he has handled all aspects of discovery and has developed a streamlined approach to discovery that has been helpful to many clients being able to resolve their litigation favorably while still keeping costs in alignment within their budget. Mr. Lewis is a frequent speaker on eDiscovery, predictive coding, and other aspects of technological innovation in the law.
