Located amongst the rolling hills of Lafayette county, the University of Mississippi’s main campus is centered in Oxford, Miss., about 70 miles south of Memphis, Tenn. It is composed of numerous academic buildings, including the College of Liberal Arts; the School of Accountancy; the School of Business Administration; the School of Education; the School of Engineering; the School of Pharmacy; the Graduate School; the School of Law and the School of Applied Sciences. The School of Medicine is located in Jackson, Miss.
Named one of the safest campuses in the country and the safest in the SEC by Daily Beast magazine, the Ole Miss campus comprises 640 acres, but the layout of the academic buildings is compact. One of its most noteworthy features includes the Grove, an 11-acre park notoriously named as one of the most beautiful collegiate tailgating spots in the country. The Grove also hosts campus events and concerts, and is a perfect spot for students looking to study or relax. The university’s well-groomed campus also is comprised of newly renovated residence halls, a performing arts center and sports venues in addition to academic buildings. The Robert C. Khayat Law building is located on the southeast corner of the campus.
