There will be a panel on October 25th from 6pm-8pm in the Moot Court 1 at the University of Mississippi School of Law. This exciting event will be cosponsored by U. Miss Law Students for Reproductive Justice and the Center for Reproductive Rights and we are looking forward to a fantastic panel moderated by Dean Samuel Davis.
During the presentation our speakers will set the stage by discussing why reproductive rights are fundamental to achieving social justice. They will share their experiences as lawyers and advocates, and focus on the importance of community involvement in the efforts to ensure the full range of reproductive health care for all women and families. Panelist include Robert B. McDuff, a renowned civil rights attorney from Jackson, Mississippi, Lara Rabiee, Staff Attorney at the Center for Reproductive Rights, Cristen Hemmins, the public face of the movement to defeat Mississippi’s Personhood Amendment, and Allison Korn, the Project Coordinator for the Civil Legal Clinic at University of Mississippi School of Law.
The presentation will be followed by a reception and an opportunity to speak with the panelists in a more informal setting. The event is open to the public and admission is free. Please do not hesitate to share this invitation with your colleagues and friends.
