PRO BONO OPPORUNITY: Monday, November 30, 2015. Build hours toward the Pro Bono Credit hour, gain family law experience at the courthouse, and network with practicing attorneys.
The Pro Bono Initiative of the law school is co-sponsoring a legal clinic with the Monroe County Chancery Court, Monroe County Bar and the Mississippi Volunteer Lawyers Project to assist self-represented litigants in completing pleadings and presenting family law matters. Students will work with local attorneys to assist Monroe County residents with divorce, custody, child support, guardianship, and other family law matters.
The group will leave the law school at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 30, 2015, and return by 8:00 p.m. at the latest. The trip will count toward the Pro Bono Credit hour.
