On Friday, November 6th, we will have a virtual panel and forum for students to come together after the November 3rd election. The first part of the event will include a panel of public servants guiding us in conversation and answering questions, and the second part of the event will be more of an open forum for dialogue with students. The panel will include Senator Barbara Blackmon, Justice Jess Dickinson, and Justice Randy Pierce. The panel will be moderated by SBA President Seth Dickinson.

Senator Blackmon is currently a member of the Mississippi State Senate. Also, she previously served in the Mississippi State Senate from 1992 to 2004.

Justice Dickinson recently retired from being the Commissioner of the Mississippi Department of Child Protective Services. Prior to this, he served as a circuit court judge and a justice on the Mississippi Supreme Court.

Justice Pierce currently serves as the Director of the Mississippi Judicial College and teaches at the law school. Prior to this, he served as a member of the Mississippi House of Representatives, a chancery court judge, and a justice on the Mississippi Supreme Court.
