The UM Clinical Programs and the Grisham Law Library is partnering once again this year to present the “Technology in the Practice of Law” Skills Series. The first speaker will be on Wednesday, February 11th with Clint Pentecost, counsel with the Mississippi Supreme Court, who will instruct on the use of the Mississippi Electronic Courts (MEC), the digital filing system in use today in our state. It is modeled after the federal systems’ electronic filing protocol, which is becoming the default method for document filings in courts all over the country. The one-hour event begins at noon in the law library, and refreshments will be served during the presentation.
