Recent Alumna Selected for Equal Justice Works Fellowship

Recent graduate Brittany Bane (JD 2018) has been selected as a recipient of the 2018 Equal Justice Works Fellowship, one of the most prestigious and competitive post-graduate fellowships in the country.

Bane will be hosted at Community Legal Center in Tennessee, where she will provide civil legal counsel to low-income immigrants in Memphis and Shelby County, regardless of their immigration status, and to educate them about their civil legal rights. She is sponsored by International Paper.

Each year, Equal Justice Works selects a class of passionate public interest lawyers who have designed innovative projects in conjunction with nonprofit legal services organizations to respond to unmet legal needs in their communities. Equal Justice Works Fellows have represented thousands of adults, children, and families in need in communities across the country. This year, 67 new lawyers were selected for the two-year Fellowship.
