Raising the Bar in Legal Research and Practice

The University of Mississippi School of Law is home to six centers and institutes which provide practical experience and academic training for our law students, as well as educational opportunities and research for the legal community.

The University of Mississippi School of Law is consistently recognized for its experiential learning opportunities. Our in-house Clinical Programs teach essential practice skills and professional responsibility through a reflective clinical practice that provides high-quality representation to underserved clients. 

Ole Miss Law has five in-house law journals, edited by both students and peers. The Law School’s journals expand legal knowledge, promote scholarship, aid practitioners, and regularly provide students with opportunities to work with authors and develop legal writing and research skills.

Our faculty members are experts and leaders in their respective legal fields, providing a wealth of knowledge, understanding, and interpretation to their legal research. Ole Miss Law’s vibrant intellectual community advances legal knowledge and promotes a culture of scholarship. Our faculty have been published in the nation’s top journals, cited by U.S. Supreme Court Justices, and have written legal textbooks and treatises

The Grisham Law Library at the University of Mississippi is a state-of-the art facility with a robust collection of resources for legal research and scholarship. Students have access to online legal databases, private study rooms, and law librarians dedicated to assisting students.
