OXFORD, Miss. — Nominations are open now through April 19, 2022 for the University of Mississippi School of Law’s inaugural Diversity Awards.
The Diversity Committee will grant the awards to a student, faculty, and staff member who has demonstrated a distinctive and ongoing commitment to the principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, and cultural competence at UM Law.
Award recipients will receive a personalized plaque and a $500 monetary award, in addition to recognition by the school on kiosks throughout the building.
Individuals can nominate students, faculty, and staff by filling out the nomination form on the UM Law website. A separate form and nomination statement must be filled out for each nominee. Eligibility and criteria for each award can be found on the website. For questions, please contact Sandra Cox-McCarty, Associate Dean for Administration and Diversity Initiatives, via email at lwsandra@olemiss.edu.
The Diversity Awards are part of the UM Law Strategic Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Plan adopted by the school’s faculty in 2020.
