The first guest speaker of Czar’s Coffee Klatches this semester will be Curtis Wilkie, Overby Fellow and Kelly G. Cook Chair of Journalism here at the University of Mississippi.

Wilkie has held many titles during his career, including reporter, editor, national and foreign correspondent, historian, author, and activist. Two of his most prominent works include Dixie: A Personal Odyssey Through Events That Shaped the Modern South and The Fall of the House of Zeus: The Rise and Ruin of America’s Most Powerful Trial Lawyer.

Historian Douglas Brinkley has written that, “Over the past four decades no reporter has critiqued the American South with such evocative sensitivity and bedrock honesty as Curtis Wilkie.”

Please join us! Coffee and donuts will be provided.
