This is a social event in the atrium. Prior to the event we are planning to reach out to law firms to get donations, which will go to pay for a large fake holiday tree to put up in the atrium. For those who donate, we will put their name on an ornament and hang it on the tree. At the actual event, we will have a Santa, that people can take pictures with. We will have a donation box for people to drop off donations to the grandparent the law school adopts every year for the holidays. We will have a packing station for Operation Christmas Child donations, and we will most importantly be decorating the tree. The goal of the event is to have a fun, law school community event. We will encourage those with children to bring them to see the tree, hang an ornament, and take a picture with Santa. This is also a chance for law school students to take a break from studying for finals and get in the holiday spirit.
