The theme for our career panel this year is “La Justicia Habla: Lawyers Advocating for a Better World,”” with a focus on advocating for our people and culture, particularly with regard to being an advocate in the courtroom and throughout your legal career.

This career panel is co-sponsored by the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) and the University of Mississippi School of Law. Our student organization works closely with HNBA and has been the recipient of the HNBA’s prestigious Law Student Organization of the Year Award in 2023 for our achievements and contributions to the Hispanic legal community. In the spring of 2022, LLSA had the privilege of executing its first legal career panel in Oxford featuring the HNBA’s immediate past President, Carlos Bollar, as a panelist. Last year, we had the HNBA President for 2022-2023, Mariana Bravo, as a virtual remarks speaker, and David Ruedas, from the U.S. Senate as a keynote speaker.

This event is open to law students and prospective law students in our region, legal professionals, and other alumni, as well as the faculty and administration at our law school. The career panel is also followed by a networking reception in the atrium from approximately 3:00p.m. to 5:00p.m.
