Julie Howell Addison is an Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Mississippi in the Criminal Division. She previously served for six years as an Assistant District Attorney for the Third Circuit Court District of the State of Mississippi.
Julie graduated cum laude from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2010. During law school, she was an associate editor and the Speakers Bureau chair for the Mississippi Law Journal. She served as the Trial Advocacy chair for the Moot Court Board and was a member of the National Trial Team.
Following graduation, Julie served as the judicial law clerk to United States District Judge Michael P. Mills and then to United States District Judge Neal B. Biggers, who both serve in the Northern District of Mississippi. She also served as law clerk to United States Magistrate Judge Carl W. Hoffman in the District of Nevada.
Julie is a member of the William C. Keady American Inn of Court and serves on the Women in the Profession and the Child Welfare and Advocacy Committees of the Mississippi Bar. In 2022, she was selected as a member of the University of Mississippi Alumni Association’s inaugural 40 Under 40 class. In the Oxford-Lafayette community, she serves several non-profits, including Junior Auxiliary and the Boards of CASA of North Mississippi and Thacker Mountain Radio Hour.
