Professor Pittman teaches Torts, Law and Medicine, Bioethics, Alternative Dispute Resolution Processes and Pre-Trial Practice.
For five years before joining the faculty, Professor Pittman practiced law in Detroit, Michigan, specializing in the defense of civil lawsuits. He is a member of the Michigan State Bar, the American Bar Association and the ABA Section on Dispute Resolution.
Professor Pittman’s scholarship interest includes ERISA preemption, Health Law, Bioethics and Alternative Dispute Resolution.
