Mary Ann is the staff attorney for the circuit court judges of Mississippi’s Third Judicial District. Mary Ann received her B.A. in English with a minor in Education from Millsaps College. She received her M.A. in Journalism from the University of Mississippi. In 2007, Mary Ann graduated cum laude from the University of Mississippi School of Law. While in law school, Mary Ann was the recipient of the Francis S. Bowling Scholarship in Law and winner of the Moot Court Appellate Advocacy Competition. She was a member of the Moot Court Board and was named the 2006 Moot Court Board Member of the Year. Mary Ann was also a member of the National Trial Team and National First Amendment Appellate Advocacy Team.
Prior to attending law school, Mary Ann taught high school English in Vicksburg, Miss. as a member of the Mississippi Teacher Corps. She also taught in Greenville, Miss.
Mary Ann has served at the University of Mississippi School of Law since 2009 as an adjunct professor of legal research, legal writing and advanced legal writing.
