Assistant Professor of Law and MacArthur Justice Center Director Cliff Johnson spoke to the Mississippi Judicial Conference’s Justice Court Conference this month on the proper handling of criminal cases involving indigent defendants. He spoke to the Panola County Bar Association on poverty and criminal justice in Mississippi. Johnson also spoke to the Magnolia Bar Association CLE on “A Local and National Perspective on the State of Criminal Justice in America. In December, he is scheduled to speak at the French Embassy in Washington, D.C. as part of a panel discussing the movie Lindy Lou, Juror Number 2, a French documentary regarding a death penalty case handled by Johnson.
