Faculty Highlights – October 2018

Senior Associate Dean Ben Cooper spoke at the 2018 Appellate Advocacy Seminar sponsored by the Bar Association of the 5th Federal Circuit, Ole Miss Law School and Mississippi College School of Law.

Associate Professor of Law Will Berry published an article in the Law Review at the Washington University School of Law.

Professor of Law Mercer Bullard was quoted in an article for Westlaw.

Professor of Law and Criminal Appeals Clinic Director Phillip Broadhead gave a presentation to the William C. Keady American Inn of the Court last week on “The Value of Mentoring Law Students.”

Assistant Professor of Law and Director of the MacArthur Justice Center Cliff Johnson spoke at Harvard as part of the annual meeting of Harvard Law School’s Mississippi Delta Project. The center is working with Harvard on this statewide expungement project intended to make it easier for indigent Mississippians to have past arrests and convictions removed from their record.

The Summer/Early Fall 2018 edition of the Mississippi Bar magazine, The Mississippi Lawyer, published the article, “Effective Utilization of Technology in the Practice of Law” written by Professor of Law and Criminal Appeals Clinic Director Phillip Broadhead.
