Students at the University of Mississippi School of Law recently completed two grueling weeks of Final Exams, and thanks to a few law firms, they had much needed breaks between studying and taking tests. Five law firms hosted Final Exam Study Breaks over the two-week period providing lunch for the students between exam periods. Some firms also sent representatives to have informal conversations with the students.
“We would like to thank the five law firms who participated in this year’s exam study break program,” said Karen Peairs, assistant director of career services. “For those firms that sent food, know that you supplied what was for many students a meal without taking time away from their studies. For those firms that sent attorneys, you provided the added benefit of demystifying the practice of law and lessening their intimidation of meeting lawyers. For all of those benefits and more, we thank you.”
The five firms that participated this year are: Forman Watkins, Cabaniss Johnston, Davis & Crump, Maron Marvel, and Balch & Bingham. This is the third term that law firms have provided Exam Study Breaks for students.
