As commercial spaceflight continues providing access to space exploration, the need for research regarding human participants will increase. Regulations continue to evolve, but to ensure human safety and access to quality science, it’s crucial to develop an ethical framework that guides human health research on commercial spaceflights.
The Translational Research Institute for Space Health (TRISH) brought together space industry leaders, including the University of Mississippi’s Co-Director of the Center for Air and Space Law Michelle Hanlon, and medical ethicists to discuss ethical standards for research within the space industry.
