Negotiation Board Magnolia Cup

The University of Mississippi School of Law Negotiation Board is pleased to invite you to the Magnolia Cup!

The Magnolia Cup is a transactional law competition hosted by the Negotiation Board. This competition involves a deal-terms problem and allows competitors to show off their negotiation and transactional law capabilities. During the Magnolia Cup in March of 2022, twelve (12) teams from law schools around the nation negotiated a transactional law problem with Stetson University College of Law being named the champion.

Law Schools are invited to send up to two (2) teams composed of two (2) students each to compete. The competition takes place over a two day span, and each team is guaranteed two (2) rounds of competition. The competition will take place at the University of Mississippi School of Law in Oxford, Mississippi, which is one of America’s best college towns.

Payment

For the convenience of our competitors, the Magnolia Cup will now feature two payment options: (1) online payment, or (2) mailing a check. Both payment options are the same price and deposit the fee in the same location, the Negotiation Board’s UM Foundation account.

  1. Online Payment: The Negotiation Board is proud to offer an online payment option for this year’s Magnolia Cup. This payment option provides for seamless payment into the Negotiation Board’s UM Foundation Account. While the link appears to solicit a “donation” to the University of Mississippi, we assure competitors that the fee is truly an entry fee for the Magnolia Cup and not a donation to the University of Mississippi. The fees in the Negotiation Board’s UM Foundation Account are exclusively accessible to the Negotiation Board for the purpose of hosting the Magnolia Cup.
  2. Check: Please make all checks for the Magnolia Cup payable to: “UM Foundation.” Please mail all entry fee checks to the following address:
The University of Mississippi School of Law
    ATTN: Negotiation Board
