Three Law Alums Selected to OMAA 2024 40 Under 40 Class

Three University of Mississippi School of Law alums were named to the Ole Miss Alumni Association’s 40 Under 40 Class of 2024: Robin Brown (J.D., 17), Kimberly Hampton (J.D. 13) and TreMarcus Robinson (J.D. 18).

The program, which recognized its inaugural class in 2022, celebrates the personal, professional and philanthropic achievement of successful Ole Miss graduates under the age of 40 in a broad range of industries.

Robin Brown has a private practice, R. Brown Law Firm, located in West Point, Mississippi, where she primarily practices Family and Criminal Law. Brown currently serves as an Attorney Adviser with the Social Security Administration, Office of Hearings Operation. She also serves as the West Point City Prosecutor, where she prosecutes in the City of West Point’s Municipal Court, as well as the Clay County Attorney. As County Attorney, she serves as the Prosecuting Attorney for the Clay County Youth Court as well as the Clay County Justice Court. She also prosecutes all appeals from lower courts to Circuit Court in Clay County.

In addition to her private practice, Attorney Brown has previously served as Guardian Ad litem (Clay County, Lee County and Monroe County), the Clay County Youth Court Public Defender, and West Point Municipal Court Public Defender.

Brown served 20 years as a member of the Mississippi Army National Guard. She enlisted in March of 2003 and retired in March 2023. She has completed two military deployments, Operation Enduring Freedom, 2005 and Operation Iraqi Freedom, 2009. Brown was a member of Joint Forces Headquarters of Jackson, Mississippi, where she served as a member of the Judge Advocate section.

Brown is the Northern District Director of the Magnolia Bar Association. She is also member of the American Bar Association, Mississippi Public Defenders Association, Mississippi Prosecutors Association, Young Lawyers Association, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Brown has been recognized as a 2022 Mid-South Rising Star of Super Lawyers Selection in her area as well as Top 40 under 40 of African American Attorneys.

She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and a proud mother of one son, Cameron Whitfield.

Kimberly McCray Hampton, a native of Greenville, Mississippi, serves as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of MississippiHampton is assigned to the Criminal Division where she serves as the Civil Rights Coordinator and Violent Crime Attorney. Since graduating law school, Hampton has passionately served in the public sector. Before joining the Department of Justice, she served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Mississippi Delta for five years. She is a 2009 graduate of the University of Mississippi and a 2013 graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Law.

Hampton is a 2018 graduate of the Mississippi Bar’s Leadership Forum and a Commissioner on the Mississippi Access to Justice Commission. She has served as a Board Member for the University of Mississippi School of Law and currently serves as a member of the Mississippi Bar’s Ethics Committee. She is a member of the Mississippi Bar, Magnolia Bar, and Lafayette County Bar Associations. She enjoys community service and is an active member of the Junior Auxiliary of Oxford.

Hampton currently resides in Oxford with her husband Courtney, a graduate of UM’s School of Engineering. They enjoy traveling with their four amazing kids.

TreMarcus D. Rosemon is the owner and founder of The Rosemon Law Firm, PLLC, located in Jackson, Mississippi. Rosemon is a Mississippi native, and he studied at the University of Mississippi, where he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration and minor in Military Science and Leadership. After earning his undergraduate degree, he continued his studies at the UM School of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude.

After law school, Rosemon began practicing law at a notable civil defense firm in Jackson, Mississippi. While there, he successfully represented clients in litigation matters involving medical malpractice, premises liability, and construction disputes.

Rosemon now practices law at his own firm, where his practice primarily involves personal injury, criminal defense, and commercial litigation. In addition to his private practice, Rosemon is a member of the Mississippi Army National Guard, where he serves as a Judge Advocate. And most recently, Rosemon was appointed to serve as a part-time public defender for Madison County Circuit Court.

He is married to his college sweetheart, Jasmine (Coley) Rosemon of Rosedale, Mississippi, and they have one daughter, Kennedi.
