These two Sea Grant programs fill dozens of research requests annually concerning matters in the MS-AL coastal area and Sea Grant College researchers nationwide.
The National Sea Grant Law Center
The National Sea Grant Law Center was founded in 2002 to provide legal research to the Sea Grant community and its constituents. The Law Center conducts research on marine laws and policies, coordinates ocean and coastal law researchers, and disseminates information to coastal and ocean policy-makers.

The Mississippi-Alabama Sea Grant Legal Program
The Mississippi-Alabama Sea Grant Legal Program is the legal arm of the Mississippi-Alabama Sea Grant Consortium. Program attorneys work closely with the Consortium, extension agents, and state agencies to provide timely legal research and advice on issues in the Gulf of Mexico.
