Young Law Alumni Award

The University of Mississippi School of Law will honor its first Young Law Alumni recipient at Law Alumni Weekend. The Award recognizes the professional and personal achievement of an alumna or alumnus who graduated within the past ten (10) years and has made notable leadership and service contributions to the School of Law and to the legal profession.

Nominations shall be submitted in writing to the Board and shall include the nominee’s name, address, and supporting information for the nomination. Nominations shall remain active for three years.

Nominees for the Award are considered on the basis of their: leadership and active involvement within their professional and personal environments; gifts of time or talent to the School of Law, including membership in the Staton Society; support and development of peers in the early stages of a career in the law. Only one (1) alumna or alumnus shall be recognized each year, except in unusual circumstances in which two (2) alumni shall be recognized.

Deadline for nominations is February 15th.
